Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of at least 3 years (6 semesters) from a recognized university. The course-wise eligibility requirements are given below.

Admission Categories
Cotton University PG Admission 2026 will be conducted under the following two categories:

| Cotton Graduate Category | Reserved for eligible graduates of Cotton University. 50% of the total seats in each programme are allocated under this category. Admission is based on the performance in CPGEE-2026. |
| Open Category | Open to eligible candidates from Cotton University as well as other recognized universities. The remaining 50% of the total seats are available under this category. Admission is based on CPGEE-2026, except for 10 Open Category seats in M.Sc. Molecular Biology & Biotechnology (MBBT), where admission will be based on GAT-B 2026 scores. |

Study Gap Rule
Candidates applying under the Open Category who passed the qualifying examination before the current year must submit a self-declaration mentioning their activities during the gap period.
